Architectural Poster
Inspired by the elegant sky-high buildings designed by Argentine-American architect Cesar Pelli, this 3D poster activates all sides and angles of the paper, inviting the viewer to pick it up and investigate. The poster includes real images of Pelli's work, and some biographical information about him including his name, ethnicity, birth and death dates, and a quote.
This project challenged me to conceptualize and design 3-dimensionally with a 2-dimensional medium—a sheet of paper. This process looked like quick sketches in my notebook, small mockups, and many prototypes. The blue and yellow color palette was based on the original images I chose, mainly the large colored sketch image found behind "Cesar" on the poster. Below is the deconstructed composition.

The final poster was constructed with two sheets of matte cardstock for the front and back. I glued them together and made the necessary cuts and creases to assemble the 3D construction.
